England international Jack Wilshere is fit enough to play his first Arsenal match in about 13 months against Bundesliga side Cologne on Thursday.
The Arsenal star is expected to be fit for selection for the UEFA Europa League clash after recovering fully from a broken leg.
Arsenal tactician Arsene Wenger revealed on Saturday that Jack Wilshere was nearing full fitness after his quick recovery.
Wilshere is now in line to play first match for the club since joining Bournemouth on loan last season.
Chilean Alexis Sanchez, Frenchman Olivier Giroud, and Englishman Theo Walcott could also play a part as the Arsenal tactician looks to maintain his team’s sharpness and fitness.
Arsene Wenger is set to give Jack Wilshere his Arsenal lifeline after he decided to remain at the Emirates Stadium in the summer, while Alexis Sanchez will also start the match after coming on as a substitute against Bournemouth on Saturday.
It will be the Sanchez’s first start since his proposed transfer to Manchester City failed to materialize.
Mathieu Debuchy could also feature against FC Cologne, who are bottom of the German Bundesliga log after three losses — including a 3-0 loss to Augsburg on Saturday.
