Man United Face Juventus Test For €150m Defender

Manchester United will reportedly have to fend off Italian champions Juventus in their pursuit of Barcelona defender Jordi Alba.

According to the report from Italian news outlet Tuttosport and monitored on teamtalk, Juventus are keen on a transfer for the Spanish international left-back.

Barcelona are sweating on a new deal for the 29-year-old with his current contract scheduled to expire at the end of the 2019/2020 season.

Jordi Alba joined Spanish champions Barcelona from fellow La Liga side Valencia in 2012 and has become one of the key performers for the Nou Camp outfit.

He’s widely regarded as one of the best left-backs in world football.

Renowned Spanish news publication Mundo Deportivo had claimed earlier this month that former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is keen on a move for Jordi Alba when he becomes the Manchester United manager.

The France football legend has been linked with the Manchester United job for the majority of the new campaign following the Red Devils’ poor form since the start of the season.
