Arsene Wenger leads his men to Germany for their next Europa League game against Koln on Thursday, although his side are already through to the knockout stages after sharing points with Red Star Belgrade last time at the Emirates.
Although Koln are still sitting bottom of the group, they have a chance to push themselves to the second spot if they can earn all three points from tomorrow’s game. During the first leg between Arsenal and the German side ended 3-1 in favour of the premier league club at North London.
Around 20,000 Koln fans travelled to Arsenal for the first leg, and some of their fans caused some problems with the stewards at the Emirates that made the club received a fine of £53,500.
Arsenal won London rivals Tottenham 2-0 last weekend at home and will be going into the game against the Bundesliga club with full confidence.
The duo of Oliver Giroud and Theo Walcott were not part of the party that won Tottenham on Saturday due to injuries, and we don’t expect any of the pairs on Thursday.
Manager Arsene Wenger has so far used the Europa League as a platform for the young chaps to prove themselves, and we should be expecting some not-too-popular faces on Thursday.
Cologne won FC BATE 5-2 the last time, and will be without Jonas Hector against Arsenal.
Although the game is a must win for the German club, Arsenal remain favourite to get all three points from the encounter.
