Man United confident of signing another star any moment from now
Tottenham Hotspur star player Toby Alderweireld might find himself at Manchester United in the next few hours.
According to new reports, the Old Trafford club believe they will complete the signing of the defender in 48 hours.
The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham after he emerged as a target for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
However, despite his age, the London club chose to peg their asking price at £75M and refused lowering it.
The Belgian, who only made 13 English top flight starts last term, is keen on moving to the Theater of Dreams, but the red devils were discouraged by his side’s toughness.
However, the Mirror are reporting that things are now moving fine between United and Spurs in regards to Toby’s deal and Jose Mourinho’s side are confident of securing the defender’s services in the next 48 hours.
It was made known that Tottenham chose to lower the player’s asking price by £15M as they are aware Toby won’t extend his stay at their side – which means they will lose him for nothing after the end of his current deal.
Apart from Alderweireld, Barcelona’s Yerry Mina has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer. However, a deal for Toby means Mina will look elsewhere
