Ajax Amsterdam defender Matthijs De Ligt wants a move to Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona according to widespread reports coming out of the media in Spain.
Mundo Deportivo claimed that De Ligt has told his agent to get a move to Barcelona for him.
It was revealed that agent Mino Raiola has been saddled with the responsibility of getting Matthijs De Ligt his dream move to the Nou Camp.
It was revealed that the player has previously held talks with French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Liverpool but his heart is fixed on a move to Spain.
Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in him.
De Ligt, 19, is also considered to be one of the best defenders on the world football stage even at a young age.
He made history at Ajax Amsterdam last year after the young Dutch centre back became the youngest captain in the history of the club.
Matthijs De Ligt has already seen his friend/club and international teammate Frenkie De Jong and he’s ready to follow suit.
Barcelona have signed De Jong but the Dutch international midfielder won’t join the Catalans until the end of this season.
The Spanish champions were said to have paid around €75m to sign the 21-year-old.
