According to media reports in England, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs are ready to face stiff competition from runaway leaders Manchester City for the signature of teenage sensation Ryan Sessegnon in the summer.

City join race

The Daily Mirror is claiming that City are poised to enter the race to land the young defender in the summer as the battle for the players signature looks set to increase.

The same article states that up until now, it has been Spurs and Manchester United who have been closely keeping tabs on the 17-year-old left-back.

Now though, it is being suggested that Manchester City have joined the race too, and that means that his present club Fulham are braced for a ‘war’ to try and keep the teenager at Craven Cottage beyond this summer.

European top clubs keen

As per the same article, European giants Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have also shown interest in securing the service of Sessegnon.

The youngster has been in good form for his side so far this campaign, netting 14 goals and providing four assists in 35 English Championship matches.

Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are bound to be linked strongly with a number of players in the coming months as the summer window gives the Portuguese tactician the opportunity to further strengthen his team ahead of a Premier League title challenge next campaign.
