Arsenal Brazilian target reveals he wanted a winter move and hints at summer switch

The Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs target has said he did want to leave French side, Bordeaux, last month and has hinted at a move when the season ends from the Ligue 1 side.

The 20-year-old was strongly linked with Arsenal for much of the transfer window but the North London side opted to focus on signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang instead.

The Brazilian then emerged as a target for Spurs but Mauricio Pochettino’s team managed to sign Lucas Moura on winter transfer deadline day.

Brightest talent

Malcom’s form over the last two years has seen him emerge as one of Europe’s brightest talents and subsequently linked with a number of top sides.

But a winter transfer failed to happen for the wide man last month and he will have to hold on until the summer window to get his dream move.

In a recent interview with Telefoot, the South American disclosed that he wanted to leave the French club, claiming it’s his dream to progress in his career.

He confirmed speaking with club president Stephane Martin and was told he knew it was his dream, but that the club needed him.
