Alexis Sanchez

Manchester United are interested in signing Arsenal forward, Alexis Sanchez amid serious interest from Manchester City.

The Chilean is nearing a move to Etihad after several weeks of speculation with reports that City are ready to include Raheem Sterling in a potential deal while they await a response from the Gunners.

Despite prior interest from Paris Saint Germain, Sanchez has decided to remain in England and move to one of their league rivals.

Reliable journalist De Brun has now claimed that Manchester United are also in for the signature of Sanchez but Arsenal would rather sell to the Etihad.

United boss Jose Mourinho is understood to be eyeing a new signing before the end of the summer window and will prefer a new face on the left wing after failing in the pursuit of Inter Milan winger, Ivan Perisic earlier this summer.

De Brun said that the Red Devils are among the clubs to have signified interest in signing Alexis Sanchez but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will rather sell Manchester City.

The duo of Wenger and Mourinho have a history of long-standing feud that dates back to over a decade and the Arsenal boss will not want a repeat of the Robin Van Persie’s transfer case.
