How Solskjaer emerged as United boss and not Giggs

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

It has been revealed that new Manchester United interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer only emerged as the Red Devils manager at the dying minute as former player Ryan Giggs was first considered for the job.

It is no longer news that Ryan Giggs is being wanted by the Red Devils and has been groomed for the job having handed over to him following the sack of David Moyes in 2014 in addition to emerging as the assistant to Louis van Gaal for two years.

It was therefore expected that he would be called for the job knowing that he has a big knowledge of the club as a player and also as a manager but that did not happen.

The reason why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer emerged could not be farfetched from his commitment as the Wales national team coach which they did not want to end on the road.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been impressive so far this season following the sack of manager Jose Mourinho by winning all of the four games he has taken charge of.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been handed the mandate to return the club back to winning ways as well as ensure they qualify to the Champions League next season and he has the backing of legendary manager Alex Ferguson to do all of that.
