Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly monitoring the situation of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic who has been in sensational form for his German Bundesliga club.
This is according to the publication from Goal which claimed that Manchester City could make a move for him in the summer.
It was revealed that left-back and defensive positions are the priority for Manchester City ahead of this summer’s transfer window but the addition of a new striker like Luka Jovic has not been ruled out.
The Serbian international player is on a two-year loan deal at Eintracht Frankfurt from Portuguese giants Benfica.
Eintracht Frankfurt are hopeful that they can sign him permanently for just €6m before selling him for €60m.
Barcelona and Chelsea have repeatedly been linked with the player with the former ready to pay as much as €40m for him.
Luka Jovic could be the direct replacement for the ageing Luis Suarez at Barcelona.
The 21-year-old has been in very good form for his German Bundesliga club.
Luka Jovic has scored 15 league goals for Frankfurt this season to emerge as the leading goalscorer in the German top flight ahead of Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski.
Polish international skipper Lewandowski has scored 13 league goals.
