Chelsea Indicates This Player Will Leave Stamford Bridge In January

Baba Rahman

One of the Chelsea players who was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge during the past summer transfer window is Baba Rahman. And even though a move failed to see the light of the day, the premier league champions have presently dropped a hint the player will be on the move in the January transfer window.

Rahman was not named in the Premier League squad for the forthcoming season and he is now deemed surplus to requirements by manager Antonio Conte.

It is understood that the Ghanaian international turned down some offers to leave Chelsea during the summer transfer window, but has been left out of the Chelsea squad for the season – which was confirmed on the official Premier League website.

During the past window, there were speculations that Bundesliga side Schalke were keen to re-sign him on loan. However, his injuries halted the possible move to the club.

The African star will continue his recovery at Stamford Bridge but is thought to be likely to leave Chelsea when the January transfer window comes.

It was reported that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte regards Baba as ‘too attacking’, even though many thinks the African is an ideal fit for the Italian’s 3-4-3 system at Stamford Bridge.

The west Londoners landed Davide Zappacosta from Torino on transfer deadline day following continuous urges from Conte to add depth to his wing back options.
