Arsenal new signing Matteo Guendouzi is one of the players that have been singled out for praise by manager Unai Emery since joining the club in the summer.

The Gunners youngster joined the North London side with a fee of about £7 million from Ligue 2 side Lorient and was meant to be a player for the future but his performance brought forward his time at the Emirates Stadium where he became a first team player.

The French youth player was given the nod ahead of Lucas Torriera and Mohamed Elneny in the first few games.

The former PSG manager had praised the young lad’s quality and urged him to do more having assured him of a place in the team if he performs brilliantly.

Its Guendouzi’s time to speak of the Spanish manager and he has a lot of positives to reel out.

The former Lorient player hailed Emery for believing in him and handing him the opportunity to play in the Premier League.

According to the 19-year-old midfielder, only few coaches will take the risk on him, adding that the faith in him has aided his improvement since joining the club.

Guendouzi scored his first goal for the club in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Qarabag last week.
