Good News – Man United Star Player Set For Return Against Benfica

Manchester United star player Luke Shaw has dropped some hints that he could feature for his side when they clash with Benfica in their next Champions League game this Wednesday.

This season so far, Shaw has only been able to make just one appearance for his side, which was during Man Utd’s 4-1 Carabao Cup victory over Burton Albion last month.

A series of injuries have hampered the 22-year-old’s progress, but he has managed the full ninety minutes for their Under 23 side when they faced West Ham during the weekend – a match they lost 4-2.

The England left-back has now travelled with Jose Mourinho’s first-team to Portugal ahead of their Champions League game on Wednesday against Benfica.

Taking to Instagram, Luke made a post which he tagged ‘Ready for Lisbon’

He has recovered from an injury that damaged a ligament in his foot, but his Portuguese manager Mourinho insists his form must still improve.

Speaking recently about the defender, the manager confirmed the player has recovered from his injury, and, according to the tactician, ‘it is a question of form and of options’.

Shaw will now hope his manager will give him the chance to play his first Champions League game for the season on Wednesday night.

Manchester United will hope to get back to winning ways following their 0-0 draw with Liverpool last Saturday at Anfield.
