According to reports, Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud is a target for Fenerbahce, who table a bid for him this winter as they attempt to replace former Arsenal forward Robin van Persie.
The Turkish club look keen to make changes in attack this winter transfer window, and Olivier Giroud is becoming one of their top targets for that role, as per Fanatik, via Sport Witness.
The FIFA Award winner has been a major player for the Gunners down the seasons, though he’s found regular football hard to come by at the club in last two campaigns.
The France international striker has started only one English Premier League match this campaign, though he still has a good record of four goals in total despite this few playing time.
The Gunners won’t want another top star to depart the club as Superstar duo of Alexis Sanchez, Jack Wilshere and Mesut Ozil all enters the ends of their respective deals.
The forward may not be Arsene Wenger’s most important player right now, but he is still a valuable alternative from the substitute bench and not a striker that could be replaced easily in the middle of the league season.
Still, the report suggests Fenerbahce will do all they could to sign the 31-year-old striker, including using his former colleague Mathieu Valbuena to try and lure him over to Istanbul Stadium.
