According to British media reports, former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique will demand £200million transfer budget if the Spaniard replaces outgoing tactician Arsene Wenger at the club.

Enrique favourite to replace Wenger

The Sun is claiming that Luis Enrique is bookmakers favourite to replace Arsene Wenger at the end of the current league season.

The same report states the coach will overhaul Arsenal squad if he is handed the opportunity to replace Arsene Wenger.

Reinforcement required

Indeed, the Spanish head coach will look to reinforce in between the sticks, at the back and in the middle but the 47-year-old seem satisfied with the team’s attacking options.

As per The Sun, the ex-Barcelona tactician will request about £200million to make big changes to the current Gunners squad.

The tactician hasn’t returned to coaching since standing down as Barcelona coach following the 2016/2017 season.

Quality tactician

Enrique, 47 led the Catalan side to three Spanish La Liga titles, three Spanish Copa del Rey crowns and the UEFA Champions League during his charge.

The Gunners drew 1 all with Atletico Madrid on Thursday night in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final clash at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are in the sixth position on the Premier League log and a long way adrift fourth-placed Spurs.
