Chelsea 32-year-old defender to leave Stamford Bridge in January over limited playing chances

New report have made it known that Chelsea defender, Gary Cahill will be on his way out of Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.

This is as a result of limited playing chances at Chelsea this season.

Chelsea new boss, Sarri Maurizio doesn’t favour starting the 32-year-old centre defender as he prefers Brazil international, David Luiz instead.

However, Gary Cahill has disclosed he wouldn’t seat down on the bench all through the season and stay put at Chelsea.

He disclosed he would leave if nothing changes in the next few months to the January transfer window.

Cahill had better playing chances under former coach, Antonio Conte as he enjoys more playing time than David Luiz.

Going by records, Cahill joined Chelsea in 2012 following a move from Bolton Wanderers.

He has made 282 appearances for the Blues and has played above 40 times for Chelsea FC in each of the last two seasons.

But this season have been quite different as Chelsea have already played four matches with Gary Cahill starting in none.

The Blues might let him go in the January transfer window owing to his age as there will be no need to extend his contract.
