Liverpool transfer news: Klopp makes Alisson decision after Karius mistake

According to reports, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is interested in bringing Alisson down to Anfield this summer.

The German boss is still in search for a new goalkeeper ahead of the 2018/19 season.

The duo of Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet haven’t been impressive at Merseyside and their futures at the club is bleak.

Loris gifted Real Madrid two goals in the Champions League final at Kiev last season that helped the La Liga heavyweights with a 3-1 win. And as if that was not bad enough, he went on to commit yet another error during Liverpool’s first pre-season friendly.

Mignolet, in particular, is expected to depart Liverpool this summer transfer window to play regularly elsewhere, after he failed to firmly find his feet at Anfield.

The Merseysiders have been linked with various talented shot-stoppers in recent times – especially the duo of Alisson (AS Roma) and Jasper Cillessen (Barcelona)

However, Goal are currently reporting that Jurgen Klopp’s No.1 target is £60M-rated Alisson.

The news outlet said the German tactician has no interest in Jasper or any other goalie linked with his side this summer.

However, it was also made known that the management at Anfield are yet to make a reasonable progress in their attempts to secure Alisson’s services ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
