Chelsea Legend Eidur Gudjohnsen is certain that the Blues are a better team with young winger Callum Hudson-Odoi in the starting XI.
The former Chelsea forward praised the impact of Callum Hudson-Odoi on the Blues squad within a short period of time in a chat with popular British radio TalkSport.
According to the former Iceland national team player, Callum Hudson-Odoi must be a regular fixture in the Chelsea starting XI.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was frustrated with his lack of playing time at Chelsea earlier in the season and that prompted him to hand in a transfer request amidst the interest from German champions Bayern Munich.
The Bavarian giants tried to sign him in January but were unsuccessful as Chelsea stood firm in the face of five separate bids from Bayern Munich.
He recently impressed on his debut for the England national team in the 5-0 home win over Czech Republic in the first game of the Three Lions’ Euro 2020 qualifiers.
The 18-year-old came on as a substitute to force Czech defender Tomas Kalas to an own goal and wrap up the thumping win.
Hudson-Odoi then went on to assist Chelsea teammate Ross Barkley on his first England start during the 5-1 away win over Montenegro.
The young winger was impressive on his first Chelsea start in the Premier League on Wednesday night as the Blues thrashed Brighton to boost their top-four hopes.
