Lyon star player Nabil Fekir has been in the news consistently in recent times due to his links with Liverpool.
The latest being said about him right now is that the Frenchman has convinced his side to reopen transfer talks with the Anfield club – which is good news to Liverpool fans.
According to reports, the France international has discussed with Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas and has made known his desire to play at Anfield next season.
Lyon chose to pour water on the deal some weeks back after Liverpool raised concerns about one of Fekir’s knees following a medical conducted in a local hospital at Paris before he travelled to Russia for the World Cup.
However, Mirror made it known that the player is still pushing for a move to Anfield and that he has told Lyon’s president to allow him to join the Anfield club this summer.
Nabil is said to have begged the president to reconsider, and it was also added that the Ligue 1 heavyweights have promised to resume talks with the Merseysiders.
However, it was suggested that the management at Anfield are unlikely to resurrect the deal if the French club failed to lower Fekir’s asking price.
Lyon are not expected to force Fekir to stay in France, and they are already thinking about replacements for him should he join Jurgen Klopp’s side.
