Liverpool finished in a Champions League spot in the Premier League for the first time in as many seasons following their set of improved displays under Jurgen Klopp who joined them in December 2015 from Borussia Dortmund.

The German boss has been linked with several players this summer as he looks to bolster his options ahead of a tough new season.

Here is a predicted lineup with potential signings in a 4-3-3 formation:

LB: James Milner- Despite being naturally disposed of as a midfielder, he has produced brilliant displays to become a key figure at Liverpool.

CB: Joel Matip- Since his arrival at Anfield, his solid displays at the central defence was undermined by their defensive frailties but he has been deemed to a quality signing due to his contributions so far.

CB: Virgil Van Dijk- The Dutch defender has been linked with making a switch though his huge transfer tag have been a major stumbling block, but Jurgen Klopp is believed to be a long-term admirer and will try to sign him this summer.

CDM: Jordan Henderson- His absence towards the end of last season was not felt due to the brilliance of Adam Lallana and Emre Can but his availability will be a huge boost for the Reds next season.

CM: Adam Lallana- The Englishman’s work-rate and presence in the midfield during the last campaign.

AM: Phillipe Coutinho- His creativity and agility will be vital for Liverpool if he stays fit next season.

LW: Mohamed Salah- The new signing is expected to spark up the already attacking Liverpool side next season.

RW: Sadio Mane- His direct running and precision will be key for the Reds to mount a serious challenge for the title.

FW: Roberto Firmino- Leading the park should be new for the Brazilian who led them to a number of victories last season.
