Manchester City take on North London giants Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, and City boss Pep Guardiola has allegedly received a two-fold fitness boost ahead of the encounter.
League cup final
The League leaders will be hoping to perform well after their hopes of winning the quadruple this term were ended last Monday as they crashed out of the Emirates FA Cup to League one side Wigan.
In turn, with a trophy now on the line, the Spanish tactician will be keen on having his side perform well, while conversely, manager Arsene Wenger will be looking for exactly the same from Arsenal.
Close to full squad
What the two bosses will share is an intent to have a fully-fit team, and unfortunately for the Gunners, it seems as though Manchester City will have two vital players back available for selection on Sunday.
According to The Times, both England international forward Raheem Sterling and Brazilian Gabriel Jesus will make the team for Sunday’s clash.
Although Pep has got a lot of options up front with the likes of Argentine Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane and other exciting attackers, it will be a major boost for him to have more options on the bench.
