Chelsea got their third premier league win in a roll after beating Leicester City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium on Saturday and are now sitting on the third spot on the premier league table.
Up next is a Champions League game against Qarabag on Tuesday night. And considering their recent impressive performances, the Stamford Bridge club are considered favourites to emerge as victors.
After the Tuesday game, the blues will be clashing with Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal for their next premier league game, and so, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte might rest many of his first team players against Qarabag.
Belgian winger Eden Hazard returned for the blues and played 12 minutes against Leicester at the weekend.
So, the former Lille man is expected to make his first start of the term for Chelsea during the Champions League game, and should partner Willian behind lone-guy Michy Batshuayi in the attacking third.
New signing Danny Drinkwater was an unused sub during the 2-1 win over Leicester last weekend, and he’s expected to make his debut for his new club on Tuesday night against Qarabag. He is expected to partner Cesc Fabregas in the middle of the park, while Kante should be given some rest ahead of the Arsenal clash.
With Courtois still in between the sticks, here is the blues probable 3-4-3 XI against Qarabag.
GK – Courtois
DC – Rudiger
DC – Cahill
DC – Christensen
ML – Alonso
MC – Cesc
MC – Drinkwater
