Reports in France indicate that French giants PSG will move for Liverpool striker Philippe Coutinho should they miss out on signing Monaco star Kylian Mbappe.
According to French Publication L’Equipe, the Brazilian is PSG’s ‘plan B’ should they fail in their attempt to sign the Monaco star.
The Monaco Prodigy has been heavily linked with a move away from the French club, with European heavyweights, including defending European Champions Real Madrid, meaning Paris Saint-Germain would face a tough fight to sign him.
Meaning, should these reports turn out to be true, an offer for the key Liverpool forward is very likely in this current transfer window.
The Publication claim PSG are yet to submit a bid and will only consider doing so once all attempt to sign Mbappe is exhausted.
The report says Liverpool will only sell the Brazilian for the right price, around £79.5m, and if they have ample time to sign a replacement.
The Brazil International forward signed a new five-year contract at Anfield last season, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2022.
French sports magazine Le10 Sport also reported that Paris Saint-Germain are seriously interested in signing Philippe Coutinho and could be willing to splash €60 million on the former Inter Milan midfielder.
