Bruno Fernandes

Liverpool and Merseyside rival Everton will do battle with each other for the right to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

This is according to the publication from Portuguese newspaper A Bola.

It was revealed that the two Merseyside clubs want to sign the Portuguese international player.

The 24-year-old has been in sensational form for Portuguese Super League side Sporting Lisbon since he signed for the club at the start of last season.

He joined the Europa League campaigners from Italian Serie A side Sampdoria in the summer of 2017.

Bruno Fernandes scored 16 goals and provided 20 assists for Sporting Lisbon in the last campaign in all competitions.

The ex-Italian Serie A midfielder has carried that superb form into this season after netting 14 goals and providing nine assists for his team in all competitions.

He has a €100m release clause in his current contract with Sporting Lisbon but it was revealed that the Portuguese club will be willing to part with their prized asset if they receive at least €40m for him.

Bruno Fernandes has shown his immense qualities for Sporting Lisbon in the last two seasons and shouldn’t have much problems adapting to the tactical systems at either Liverpool or Everton.
