Chelsea coach, Maurizio Sarri, whose side didn’t make it to the UCL this season after they failed to make it to the top four on the EPL table, has named two football clubs that can lift the Uefa Champions League this season.

The Blues’ failure to make it to the top four last season have seen them participating in the second-rated league, the Uefa Europa Leauge for this season.

However, Maurizio Sarri in the latest statement disclosed that this season’s UCL is a two horse race.

He hinted that either Juventus or Man City will lift the UCL trophy at the end of the season.

Man City under Pep Guardiola have not really performed well in uefa champions league, they suffered a very disastrous defeat from the hands of Liverpool.

On the other hand, Juve have made it to the final of the Uefa Champions League in 2015 and 2017 but have not lifted the trophy since 1996.

Nonetheless, Sarri expects one of the two clubs to have a breakthrough this season.

Sarri in a statement said, ‘this season, there are two candidates to win the Champions League: Juve and Manchester City.’

He, however, hinted that he would be watching out for Spanish football clubs as well.
