Serie A giants, AC Milan could hijack Arsenal’s deal for Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac in the summer transfer window, according to the player’s father.

Following reports that the Gunners have agreed a pre-contract to bring Kolasinac to the Emirates next season, his father has now come out to reveal that a final decision will be made by the player this week and he will choose between Arsenal or AC Milan.

Prior reports suggested that the North London outfit had secured the services of the Bosnian after beating competition from the likes of Everton and Manchester City for his signature and has even chosen a squad number ahead of next season, with assurance that Arsene Wenger will remain at the club next season.

His father has now claimed the deal is has not been agreed yet, he said: ‘Next week we will decide everything,’

Kolasinac will be out of contract at Schalke by the end of the season and is free to negotiate a new deal elsewhere before May. It is understood that the Serie A giant are ready to pounce for the left-back before the end of the current campaign and have intensified their efforts in recent days.

Arsenal are known for their discreet approach to transfer and are not expected to announce anything until the end of the season.
