According to reports, FC Barcelona are looking to sell striker Luis Suarez this summer transfer window, while the South American still retains a huge-market value – and the Reds have been strongly linked with a swoop.

Top quality striker set for sensational Liverpool return

The Uruguay international striker has proved a big hit for the Catalan club since joining the club back in 2014, netting 151 goals in 195 matches for Barcelona.

But as per Spanish media reports, the La Liga giants will consider offloading Suarez this summer transfer window – if they sign €100m striker Antoine Griezmann.

The France international striker has long been heavily linked with a transfer to the Camp Nou, with Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde speaking on the latest speculations on Tuesday.

It’s suggested that while the former Liverpool star is in no hurry to depart Barcelona, and the club know the striker’s value will begin to drop after this summer window, considering his age.

Liverpool need attacking reinforcement

At the age of 31, the Catalan club know the striker can still command a transfer fee of about £60m and also know his former side Liverpool’s need to reinforce up front.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp boasts a great forward line at the club in Salah, Firmino and Mane and notwithstanding their roll down of goals this campaign, lacks a natural goalscorer.
