According to reports, David de Gea is set to pen a new five-year contract with Premier League giants Manchester United.
Man United to keep De Gea
The Independent suggests Man United are certain the Spain first-choice goalkeeper will commit his playing future to the Premier League side.
The publication claim talks have progressed pretty well to the point where all parties involved feel the shot-stopper will agree to a fresh five-year contract
The 27-year-old goalkeeper’s current contract is due to run out next summer and claims of a transfer to the Champions league holder have refused to leave over the past few years.
Real Madrid want to land De Gea
As per the Manchester Evening News, the Los Blancos are optimistic about landing the safe hand for around £100million. The transfer fee would surpass the current world record for a goalie.
But the Spaniard informed El Partidazo de Cope that he doesn’t think Real president Florentino Pérez has his mobile number. He also claimed he doesn’t know if he’ll be the shot-stopper at the Santiago Bernabeu.
He said what he is sure of is that he is very happy at Old Trafford, and reiterated that he wants to win honours, like every other footballer.
The Independent though suggest Real Madrid have gotten the latest update and were seeking alternative options – namely AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
