Atletico Madrid youngster Theo Hernandez has undergone a secret medical at Real Madrid despite keen interest from Barcelona and Liverpool, according to reports.
The 19-year-old has been monitored by a host of clubs in Europe with the likes of Barcelona and Liverpool said to be vying for his signature.
Although, there are suggestions that Atletico is reluctant to allow Hernandez leave the club due to his impressive performances with the club but reports have it that the youngster has his head turned.
Reports in the Independent claim that the 19-year-old has passed a medical with Real Madrid and will sign a long-term deal with Atleti’s fierce rivals.
It is understood that Real Madrid are ready to pay the defender’s £20 million release clause much to the annoyance of Atleti who beleives Hernandez is worth more than that.
The 19-year-old defender became famous in Spain for his role in Alaves’ impressive run in the Copa del Rey final.
Theo Hernandez who was loaned out to Alaves last summer, has been a prominent figure at the club, making 36 appearances and scoring four goals so far.
Real Madrid are understood to be preparing for massive transfer plans this summer as their transfer ban comes to an end.
