Liverpool have been in the news recently due to their interest in bringing some talented players into Anfield this summer.
But the latest being said about them is that they have agreed to send one of their own players to Swansea City – in the person of Yan Dhanda.
The Merseysiders have reportedly agreed to a deal with the Liberty Stadium club for the 19-year-old, and the talented teenager has signed a two-year deal with them.
Yan moved to Anfield from West Brom in 2013 but couldn’t burst into the first-team. He was only limited to the Under-18 and Under-23 levels and was able to play 42 games – he created 21 goals though.
Of course, not that he isn’t talented. But we all should agree it’s just difficult benching the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team. So, it is sensible moving to a place where he has a better chance of playing more games.
This is not to say Jurgen Klopp never had regards for young talents – the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dominic Solanke comes to mind this just-concluded season. We should just say Yan failed to impress enough!
He wil nowbe playing with Swansea City in the Championship next term (the Liberty Stadium club were relegated this season), and we should only wish him the best.
