English Premier League outfit Man United have been linked with the signature of France international and Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann but they were scared that he had already agreed on a move to Barcelona.
Reports had claimed that the World Cup winner already agreed on a move to join the Spanish champions after handing in a transfer request to Atletico Madrid at the end of last season and the club already confirming that the former Real Sociedad forward will be sold.
The Red Devils now have no reason to worry as Antoine Griezmann has opened the possibility of a move to the Premier League by not insisting on staying in Spain.
Now that Barcelona are reported to have cooled off their interest in the Frenchman, he is claimed to be ready for any move as long as he can secure enough playing time.
However, Man United will have to cough out £108m, going by the release clause in his contract with the Spanish outfit.
Meanwhile, the player has called for patience over is future, noting that he hopes it is settled as soon as possible so that he can catch his fun and help his new owners.
Liverpool Urged To Sign Antoine Griezmann
Newly crowned European champions Liverpool have been told to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann this summer.

According to him, Antoine Griezmann would be a very good fit for Liverpool who already boast of one of the most fearsome attacks in world football.
The Liverpool front trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah have performed well for the club on a consistent basis but Antoine Griezmann has a quality of his own.
He was a key member of the France team that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia via a 4-2 win over surprise finalists Croatia in their final clash in Moscow.
Antoine Griezmann has already confirmed that he will leave Atletico Madrid this summer after five years at the club.
The 28-year-old signed for Atletico Madrid after the Spanish capital club reached an agreement with Real Sociedad for his transfer.
Spanish champions Barcelona are thought to be in pole position to secure his transfer by paying the €120m release clause but PSG are also showing interest in the player.
He is also linked with other clubs like Manchester United and Manchester City.

The 29-year-old has two years left on his current deal with the Saints and the Premier League club is interested in the sale of Ryan Bertrand.
It was revealed that Southampton will demand £15m for the former Chelsea defender though the two aforementioned European teams are confident that they can get their transfer target for £10m.
Ryan Bertrand was part of the Chelsea team that won the 2012 Champions League final in Munich.
Chelsea won the Champions League title for the first time in their history after they defeated German champions Bayern Munich via penalties.

Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Norwich City defender Max Aarons according to Sky Sports. The young English right-back impressed a great deal for the Canaries who secured promotion to the Premier League at the end of last season. The Man City deal that Arsenal will benefit from
English Premier League outfit Arsenal are set to benefit from the report that defending champions Man City are set to secure the signature of Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri.
Despite winning the English title for the second consecutive year, The Citizens are still keen to strengthen their squad and have identified the Spanish La Liga outfit player as an ideal man to fit into the team.
It is claimed Man City are willing to pay the sum of €70 million for the star player with a possibility that it would be concluded in coming days.
However, Atletico Madrid will have to find a replacement for the star player and they have identified Arsenal player and Swiss international Granit Xahaka as an ideal option.
Already Granit Xhaka has been linked away from the Emirates Stadium with claims that he is unhappy after enduring a difficult last season.
This could be a blessing in disguise for the North London outfit as they will be able to cash in from the sale of the Swiss international to increase the £40 million that is available for manager Unai Emery to engage in this summer transfer window.
It has been concluded that Arsenal will not reject a bid for Granit Xhaka.
£107m Chelsea Target Undergoes Medical
Benfica attacker Joao Felix has reportedly done his Atletico Madrid medical ahead of a big money move to the Spanish capital.
This is according to the latest reports coming out of the media in his native Portugal.
Joao Felix is one of the most exciting young prospects on the European football scene and several clubs are on his trail.
West London giants Chelsea were strongly linked with the young Portuguese forward until they were hit with a two-window transfer ban by world football’s governing body FIFA.
Chelsea were punished for their misgivings in the signing of players under the age of 18 but the newly crowned Europa League winners have always maintained their innocence promoting the appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
Others like Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Juventus and Barcelona have also been linked with the 19-year-old Portuguese international player since he burst onto the scene at the start of the just concluded Portuguese Super League season.
He was one of the star players for Benfica as they reclaimed their league title from arch rivals, FC Porto.
Joao Felix has a €120m (£107m) release clause in his Benfica contract and Atletico Madrid have activated it.
The player has done his medical ahead of the multi-million pounds move.
Joao Felix and his agent Jorge Mendes were spotted in Madrid on Monday night to further confirm his imminent move to Atletico Madrid according to the specific publication from Portuguese media outlet Record
Finally, Liverpool now have a chance to sign £105m-rated striker
Portuguese champions Benfica have dismissed recent reports that Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are closing in on a move for one of their prized assets.
Reports on Monday in Spain had claimed that Atletico Madrid are closing in on a move for Benfica teen sensation Joao Felix after agreeing to pay the £105m (€120m) release clause in his contract with the newly crowned Portuguese champions.
According to trusted Spanish newspaper AS, Benfica have rubbished those transfer rumours linking Joao Felix with the Rojiblancos.

Apart from Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, Joao Felix has been attracting the interest of other major European clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United and Juventus.

Chelsea Reject Two £35m Bids For Winger
Europa League holders Chelsea have rejected two separate bids for one of their players.
This is according to Sky Sports which claimed that the Blues have turned down two separate bids of £35m for Brazilian national team player Willian.
It was revealed that the bids are from the Spanish La Liga duo of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
Barcelona are long-term admirers of Willian and the Catalans have tried to sign the Chelsea winger on several occasions.
The Spanish champions made a swap bid for him during the winter transfer window but they were unsuccessful.
Barcelona were willing to offer compatriot Malcom in exchange for Willian only for the Spaniards to meet a brickwall, as Chelsea didn’t want to let their winger leave the club.
Atletico Madrid are new entrants as far as the interest in Willian is concerned.
Chelsea are in a more precarious position than they were when the previous Barcelona bid was rejected due to the transfer ban slammed on them by world’s football governing body FIFA.
The West London giants have submitted an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in a bid to overturn the transfer ban.
Chelsea won’t want to lose another important player following the exit of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.

The 24-year-old has a release clause of €100m (around £89m) but Sporting Lisbon are willing to sanction his sale for a lesser amount.
Apart from Liverpool, other Premier League sides like Manchester United, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also in the running to sign him.

Man United and Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain are both interested in the signature of Jan Oblak but the shot-stopper has his choice to make and has chosen the English Premier League outfit ahead of a move to France.
This gives an edge to the Red Devils as they are also interested in securing a new stopper and have been linked with Jan Oblak in the past.
However, David De Gea has received a lot of offers from top European teams like Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Bayern Munich who are all interested in the player.
The destination of the former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper is yet to be known, but it is obvious that a deal will go down before the end of the summer transfer window.
