Brazilian midfielder Fred is on the verge of completing a move to Manchester United, but there are recent reports that his club (Shakhtar Donetsk) won’t allow him to leave for cheap but will make the red devils pay market rate in other to get his signature.
Fred has been heavily linked with Manchester United in recent times after catching the attention of manager Jose Mourinho at the Theater of Dreams. It is understood the Portuguese tactician seeks to bring him to Old Trafford to help add more quality to his midfield department next season.
There have been a lot of speculations surrounding the deal. There are some claims that Manchester United are closing in on a £44million deal for him, and it is also understood that Mourinho’s side have recently offered Shakhtar Donetsk an ultimatum that seemed to force their hand.
However, speaking recently about the situation, the club’s top chief Mr Rinat Akhmetov, said his side won’t allow the player leave the club except they receive a fee that is above what Man City paid for Fernandinho about five years ago.
Considering the fact that Michael Carrick hung his boots recently, Mourinho’s side must do all it takes to sign a superb midfielder that can adequately replace the Englishman at Old Trafford. In other words, the management should satisfy the Shakhtar Donetsk to get Fred!
