Former Premier League winners Leicester City will have to fend off competition from the Premier League in the bid to sign Nathaniel Clyne in the upcoming transfer window scheduled to begin as from January 1.
Nathaniel Clyne currently plays his club football for five-time European champions, Liverpool.
According to the publication from popular English news platform The Sun, Leicester City want to sign the England international right-back.
It was revealed that the Foxes will have to do battle with other interested clubs such as Fulham and Cardiff City.
Newly promoted Premier League sides Fulham and Cardiff City have largely struggled in the English top flight this season and are in need of reinforcements to achieve their respective goals of surviving relegation at this campaign.
Both teams have targeted Clyne as a possible signing in the transfer market.
The 27-year-old has rarely featured for Liverpool this season.
He’s now the third choice right-back at the Merseyside club behind Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Clyne was initially the undisputed first-choice right-back at Anfield until he sustained a long-term injury that kept him out for the majority of last season.
He made five appearances for the Reds throughout the whole of last season.
