4-2-3-1 Formation: Lukaku Benched In Man United’s Strongest Possible XI vs CSKA Moscow

Manchester United have, to a good extent, already qualified for the knockout stage of the Champions League, but we still expect them to take serious their last group stage game against CSKA Moscow.

They can only be eliminated if CSKA Moscow can thrash them 7-0 (which, in all fairness, is impossible) while Basel win their own game against Benfica in Portugal.

The Old Trafford club will be going into the game with full confidence following their win over Arsenal last Saturday, and we expect manager Jose Mourinho to introduce some few changes on Tuesday against the Russian club.

As far as Man United’s team news is concerned, since Paul Pogba won’t feature in the upcoming premier league game against Manchester City this weekend, then the Frenchman must participate in the Champions League game on Tuesday.

The former Juventus midfielder should partner Ander Herrera in the center of the park.

We also expect the likes of Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind to return to the starting XI and take care of the full-back positions.

Up front, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is likely to start ahead of Romelu Lukaku, alongside the likes Mata, Mkhitaryan and Rashford.

Here is Manchester United’s strongest possible 4-2-3-1 line vs CSKA Moscow.

GK – De Gea
DL – Blind
DC – Rojo
DC – Smalling
DR – Darmian
MC – Herrera
MC – Pogba
AL – Rashford
AC – Mkhitaryan
AR – Mata
FC – Ibrahimovic
