According to new reports, Chelsea summer signing Tiemoue Bakayoko is willing to sacrifice his comfort when his new club clashes with Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Sunday by declaring that he is fit to feature in the game.
Bakayoko moved to Stamford Bridge from Monaco last month in a deal worth £40million but is yet to play for the west London club due to arriving with a minor knee injury.
The premier league champions lost their first premier league game of the new season to Burnley at Stamford Bridge last week and will be making the trip to Wembley on Sunday to face Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham side.
Chelsea will be without Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas after the two players were shown the red card during the 3-2 defeat to Burnley, a situation that further depleted the team.
But the Telegraph are now reporting that Tiemoue has made himself available for the clash with Spurs.
The defensive midfielder featured alongside Belgian superstar Eden Hazard in a closed-doors friendly with QPR two days ago, and he is understood to be ahead of Eden in regards to recovery.
Right now, it is yet to be known who will partner N’Golo Kante in the center of the park on Sunday and it is believed the France international could be handed a place on the bench.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is understood to be working towards bringing new players into his team before the end of the transfer window.
