Jose Mourinho Shift Focus On Signing Highly-rated Winger After Failing To Sign Perisic

Manchester United have turned their attention to sign AS Monaco winger, Thomas Lemar, according to reports.

According to Daily Record, United boss Jose Mourinho is considering a move for the Frenchman after failing to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid.

The Red Devils have been linked with a move for a left-sided winger this summer as Mourinho looks to sign a fourth player this summer following the arrival of three players.

Inter Milan are said to be confident on tying Ivan Perisic to a new deal in order to fend off interest from Manchester United.

Lemar has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this window, with reports that Arsene Wenger is planning to sign the winger as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez who is keen on leaving for Manchester City.

However, it is believed that the Chilean forward will not force a move this summer and will see out his contract at the Emirates before leaving on a free transfer next summer, leaving the deal for Lemar in a balance after Wenger also come out to reveal that he will rather focus on trimming his squad that signing new players.

Despite the ongoing speculation over the future of Thomas Lemar, AS Monaco have remained adamant that the winger will not be allowed to leave this summer following the departure of their players to the Premier League.
