Manchester United Devise Strategy To Sign Star Player

Mateo Kovacic

Real Madrid star player Mateo Kovacic has been linked with a move away from the club in recent times after emerging as a target for Manchester United.

It was made known that the red devils are interested in bringing him to Old Trafford to replace Michael Carrick.

Michael is ready to hang his boots at the end of this season and will proceed to join the club’s backroom staff.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho already promised to sign at least one midfielder this summer. And should Marouane Fellaini decide to leave Old Trafford at the end of the term, the Portuguese tactician could make it two.

Fellaini will be out of contract at the end of this season, and he isn’t showing clear signs he will extend his stay at the club by signing a new contract.

The Old Trafford club have been monitoring the likes of Jean Michael Seri (Nice) and Sergej Milinković-Savić (Lazio), and it was made known Kovacic has also caught their attention.

The Croatian star joined Real Madrid in 2015 from Inter Milan, but he keeps struggling for regular first-team actions at the Spanish capital.

Manager Zinedine Zidane prefers fielding Casemiro in his starting XI, and it was reported Mourinho’s side could lure him with the promise of regular first-team football.
