Kalidou Koulibaly

The emerging report hints that Man United are close to their first summer signing after claims made by talkSPORT host Andy Goldstein.

The talkSPORT host has confirmed that talks between the Red Devils and Italian Serie A outfit Napoli is positive and almost being concluded for the signature of Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Red Devils have long indicated interest in the signature of the Senegal international and it was earlier claimed that the Premier League side is already preparing a bid to land him.

Former Man United boss Jose Mourinho has been credited for making the first contact for the club in the bid for Kalidou Koulibaly but he failed in his attempt as the club insisted on keeping him.

It is now suggested that Napoli have now agreed to let go of the star central defender which makes it easy for the Red Devils to open discussions.

Andy Goldstein has now confirmed that he has heard good things in United’s bid for the Napoli central defender, stressing that his coming to the Old Trafford is very close.

However, the Red Devils boss is expected to be the busiest manager in this summer transfer window as he seeks the flushing of more than half of his team as they could not deliver good results for him in the season that has just ended.
