25-year-old England midfielder set to remain at Arsenal after Wenger’s change of heart
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made a u-turn on Jack Wilshere’s future at the club and now intends to keep the England international midfielder.
The 25-year-old Wilshere was sent out on a season-long loan to AFC Bournemouth last season and figured out how to remain fit for most of the season.
The midfield maestro, however, was sidelined for three months toward the end of the last season in the wake of fracturing his fibula.
Wenger has over and over talked about the need to trim his squad this summer and had told Wilshere that he was allowed to leave the club this summer transfer window.
However, as indicated by the Mirror, Arsene Wenger has had a change of thought and now intends to keep Jack Wilshere at the Emirate Stadium this season.
The midfielder returned to action with the U23 team on Monday, however, was red carded after a row.
The England international is out of contract at the end of the League season and won’t be given another deal unless he can demonstrate his fully fit this season yet the news is probably going to please most Arsenal fans who have remained by the midfield maestro all through his injury torment.
