David Luiz’s future at Stamford Bridge has been the subject of a lot of debate for some weeks now, according to reports emanating from France, the Brazilian international defender’s second spell at the West London club could be coming to an abrupt end.
David Luiz recently trained alone ahead of Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Premier League side Manchester United after reportedly questioning Antonio Conte’s tactics after the Blues emphatic 3-0 loss to AS Roma in the Champions League.
Since then, the David Luiz has failed to start a match for Chelsea and a January departure looks to be looming.
As per a report by RMC Sport, via Metro, Real Madrid tactician Zinedine Zidane is eyeing a transfer for the former Benfica defender in January in a bid to strengthen his fumbling Real Madrid team.
Real Madrid have endured a relatively poor start to the 2017/18 season, dropping points in five of their opening 13 Spanish La Liga games and sitting in fourth position, eight points adrift unbeaten League leaders FC Barcelona.
Real Madrid’s defence has particularly looked shaky regularly, although quite how Brazilian David Luiz, who is known to be a defender prone to erratic performances, would come in and improve Real Madrid’s current situation.
The former PSG defender has also been sidelined from Chelsea’s English Premier League encounter with Swansea tomorrow due to a knee injury.
