Liverpool bosses have reportedly overruled manager Jurgen Klopp over a decision involving one of their summer signings.
Brazilian international midfielder Fabinho signed for the Reds during this summer’s transfer window after the five-time European champions paid French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco £40m in a bid to secure his transfer.
The 25-year-old has been largely unconvincing in the colours of Liverpool thus leading to intense transfer rumours linking him with a return to France with Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
He has featured six times for Liverpool in this season’s Premier League and contributed his quota to the Reds’ bid for the first title since the Premier League began in 1992.
While speaking recently on Fabinho and the transfer reports, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp dismissed those rumours but it seems senior Liverpool officials are open to the idea of letting him leave either on a temporary basis or permanently.
French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are said to be in search of midfield reinforcements and they have targeted Fabinho as a potential transfer.
The French champions have to replace young midfielder Adrien Rabiot who’s on his way out of the club.
Spanish media outlet Sport claim that Rabiot has already agreed a free transfer move with Barcelona.
