According to MEN, Jose Mourinho has been given the opportunity to sign Jerome Boateng from Bayern Munich this summer.
The Germany international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bundesliga club in recent times, and it appears he is bound to depart Munich before the start of the 2017/18 season.
Boateng has been in the news consistently in recent times as a result of his links with Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, and we shouldn’t be too surprised seeing him play at Old Trafford next term.
The talented defender is in the category of the best defenders in the world and has become an important member at Bayern. Last season in 31 games in all competitions, Boateng scored twice and provided four assists to his teammates.
He is however expected to leave Allianz Arena this summer and won’t be hindered by the German champions. It was made known that Bayern have offered him to Manchester United ahead of next season.
At Old Trafford, United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on taking advantage of the summer window to reinforce his defense department by signing a new central defender.
The manager already signed Diogo Dalot (a full-back) from FC Porto and Fred (a midfielder) from Shakhtar Donetsk, and he is likely to make Boateng his third signing of the summer.
