West London giants Chelsea have been rocked by the transfer news that French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have entered the race to sign Franck Kessie from AC Milan in the summer.

Italian media outlet Calciomercato claim that the French capital club wants to sign the Ivorian international player as they attempt to bolster their midfield in the summer.

Chelsea are also keen to sign Kessie with earlier reports claiming that the Blues would be open to a swap deal involving loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko.

French midfielder Bakayoko is on a season-long loan at Italian Serie A giants AC Milan from Chelsea after the 24-year-old joined the Rossoneri at the start of this season.

Tiemoue Bakayoko has had a good loan spell at the San Siro till date despite a shaky start with Milan keen to turn his loan transfer into a permanent one.

However, AC Milan don’t have the power to make the loan move permanent for the required €35m due to financial fair play restrictions.

The permanent transfer could still be possible with Chelsea willing to take the aforementioned Kessie in exchange but the interest of PSG in the 22-year-old might make things more complicated for the parties involved.
