Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is pleased his men earned all three points from the clash against Huddersfield on Saturday at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese boss has singled out Scott McTominay and has heaped a lot of praise on the youngster for his impressive performance in the game.

The red devils lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night at Wembley, but goals from Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez were enough to get Mourinho’s side back to winning ways in the premier league.

Jose surprisingly handed McTominay a start against Huddersfield while Paul Pogba was benched for the 19-year-old.

The Saturday game was Scott’s second premier league start of the season – though some fans were not initially comfortable with the idea of sitting Pogba on the bench for the teenager.

Some were of the opinion Mourinho simply benched the Frenchman due to his unpleasant performance against Tottenham on Wednesday.

But speaking after the 2-0 win, Mourinho said he simply chose to make some few changes due to the nature of the game.

He also heaped praises on Scott, insisting the youngster is a player who works hard to recover the ball from their opponents.

The red devils are still sitting on the second spot of the premier league behind leaders Manchester City.
