Why Romelu Lukaku’s Inter move is still being delayed after agreeing on personal terms

It has been reported that Belgium international and Man United striker Romelu Lukaku has already agreed on personal terms with Italian Serie A outfit Inter Milan.

The Belgium international has already informed the Red Devils of his wish to leave the club after struggling in the just-concluded season.

New Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is reported to be a big fan of the Belgium international and has already established contact.

Romelu Lukaku is reported to profess his love for the Serie A and Inter Milan remains his dream club.

However, the deal is still being delayed because of the £75 million asking price by the Red Devils and that could serve as a hindrance as Man United are not willing to come down on the fee.

It is claimed that the club executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward does not think his value has dropped despite an indifferent season.

The Belgium International earns £225,000-a-week, which equates to £11.7m a season. Inter Milan are willing to meet with the standard he has maintained as details of the terms were now made public.

There is no doubt that the Red Devils will come down on the fee for the star attacker when they finally sit on the negotiation table to have the deal concluded.
