According to reports, Chelsea have moved ahead of Merseyside club Liverpool in the transfer race to sign Lyon star Nabil Fekir this summer window.
Chelsea keen on Fekir
French outlet L’Equipe, as cited by the Daily Star, is suggesting that the Blues are interested in a £62m move to land the 24-year-old forward this summer.
The same article says that the Reds have hit a snag in their attempt to try to sign the France international attacker this summer transfer window, with the Blues now also keen on signing the player.
Nabil Fekir has long been strongly linked with a transfer to the English Premier League and he has been tipped as a possible transfer target for both Liverpool and Arsenal in the past.
Liverpool set to rival Chelsea
The Reds were believed to be leading the transfer race for Fekir going into the summer, despite manager Jurgen Klopp playing down rumour of a transfer over the weekend.
However, it now seems as though Liverpool could be ready to face stiff competition from the Chelsea for the Frenchman’s signature this summer window, as per reports emanating from France.
The Premier League duo are bound to be heavily linked with a number of players this summer window as both sides look to assemble teams capable of competing with Manchester City for the title next campaign.
