According to new reports, Manchester City are set to sign Jean Michael Seri before the closure of the ongoing winter transfer window, and the premier league leaders are ready to do all it takes to snatch the African star player away from Manchester United’s grip.
Seri has been heavily linked with a move away from Nice in recent times, and the French club are expected to cash in on him this month.
The Ivorian star has evolved into one of the best players in the Ligue 1, and his superb performances at Nice have caught the attention of a handful of top clubs across Europe including Manchester United and City.
Jose Mourinho’s side have been keeping tabs on the talented player all season, while Pep Guardiola’s side are keen on signing a new superb player after missing out on Alexis Sanchez.
Man City refused to match United’s lucrative package offered to Sanchez, and they pulled out of the race for the player’s signature.
And it was made known by metro recently that the premier league leaders want to revenge on their neighbours.
The two sides have contacted the French club about Seri’s availability, and Nice are understood to be asking for up to £35million for the player’s signature.
