Spanish La Liga giant Real Madrid haven’t had the best of starts to this campaign, and captain Sergio Ramos reportedly wants the team strengthened.
Real Madrid sit in fourth position in the Spanish La Liga table, eight points behind leaders FC Barcelona, while in the champions league, they’ve had to settle for second position picking up just a point from two matches with Tottenham Hotspurs.
Given how good they were last term with the Spanish league and UEA Champions League double, it’s a real decline in a short period, with Welshman Gareth Bale continuing to struggle with injury problems while attacking duo Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo and Frenchman Karim Benzema have been battling for form, as their respective goal numbers would suggest.
Including the fact that Real allowed the Chelsea striker and James Rodriguez to leave the club this past summer, it was always going to be hard for them.
As per Diario Gol, via The Express, Sergio Ramos wants to see the side act in the market and that involves a triplet transfer list which includes goalkeeper Kepa, Chelsea defender David Luiz and Inter forward Mauro Icardi.
With shot stopper Keylor Navas seemingly not entirely convincing despite playing his part in Real Madrid’s recent trophy success, Kepa has been shortlisted while with Portugal defender Pepe leaving over the summer, Brazilian David Luiz would perfectly fill a void left there as he is on the fringes at Stamford Bridge after his recent fallout with manager Antonio Conte, according to the Express.
