Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he’s yet to think about how to stop Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi when both sides meet in the Champions League semifinals at the start of next month.

This was the position of the Liverpool manager on Messi when he was asked during his post-match press conference after the FC Porto win.

Liverpool setup a last four meeting with Messi and Barcelona after they thrashed FC Porto 4-1 in their Champions League quarterfinal second leg clash to secure a 6-1 aggregate win over the Portuguese champions.

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, substitute Roberto Firmino and Virgil Van Dijk were all on the scoresheet for Liverpool in the second meeting with FC Porto while Eder Militao scored what proved to be a mere consolation for the hosts.

Lionel Messi has now scored 45 goals in all competitions for his beloved Barcelona side this term after his brace sent Premier League giants Manchester United out of the competition.

Manchester United were beaten 3-0 by their hosts in their Champions League quarterfinal second leg clash with Messi netting two goals while Philippe Coutinho scored the other goal.

The Spanish champions secured a semifinal berth with a 4-0 victory on aggregate.

Barcelona will host Liverpool in the first leg at the Nou Camp on May 1 before the return leg at Anfield two weeks later.
