Wenger explains big Jadon Sancho regret

Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has explained revealed that he almost landed Jadon Sancho at the North London outfit when he was in charge before the player joined German Bundesliga outfit.

Wenger had a 22-year-spell as the Gunners boss before he was supposedly forced to resign in the last summer and was replaced with former PSG boss Unai Emery.

It would be recalled that Jadon Sancho left English Premier League outfit Manchester City as a youth player in 2017 to secure a first-team football elsewhere.

He has now progressed to become a star player who is already being followed by a number of big sides including Liverpool, Arsenal, Paris Saint Germain and Barcelona. They all made attempt to secure his signature in the last winter transfer window.

However, Wenger stated that his effort failed to yield any result despite convincing the player to join the London club because he is from a big city.

The former Gunners boss, therefore, showered praise on the young lad, stressing that he can dribble, has the confidence and belief to help him succeed at the club.

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho is now having a great season with the Bundesliga outfit with the former Arsenal boss is yet to secure a new job.
